Noordwijk is linked to Schiphol Airport (www.schiphol.nl), which is located between Amsterdam and Leiden. 

By Shuttle service from Schiphol Airport
On Sun, May 15, 2011, 16.00 - 21.00 will be Shuttle services from Schiphol airport directly to the conference site organized by the Conference.
On Fri, May 20, 2011, at 10.00 and at 11.00 will be Shuttle services to Schiphol Airport from the Conference site.

By taxi from Schiphol Airport
A direct taxi from Schiphol to the hotel costs about 80 EUR.

By Public Transport
From the Voorhout train station: Take bus 57 from the Oosthoutlaan or Engelselaan in the direction of Noordwijkerhout for the 15-minute journey to Noordwijkerhout. Exit at the Victoriberg stop. The walk to De Witte Raaf takes about 25 minutes.

From Leiden central station: Take bus 57 from the train station in the direction of Noordwijkerhout. Exit at the Victoriberg stop, the journey will take about 35 minutes. The walk from the bus stop to De Witte Raaf takes about 25 minutes.

From Haarlem central station: Take bus 90 from the train station in the direction of 's-Gravenhage. In Noordwijkerhout, exit at the Victoriberg stop. The journey takes about 40 minutes. The walk from the bus stop to De Witte Raaf takes about 25 minutes.

There is no 'train taxi' service (special taxi service offered at certain train stations) from any of the stations to the hotel. For regular taxi service, call Meeuwenoord Vervoer on 0252-372744. The cost is about € 35,00 from Haarlem, € 25,00 from Leiden and € 13,50 from Voorhout.

By Car
From Amsterdam and Utrecht: Follow Schiphol-Den Haag. At the Y-split, follow the direction of Den Haag Centrum (A44), take Exit 3 for Sassenheim-Noordwijk. Continue for about 10 km. After you pass under a viaduct, make a right at the mini-roundabout and after 1 km make a left at the next roundabout (Schulpweg). Follow this road for about 1.5 km. You will see De Witte Raaf on your left.

From Rotterdam and The Hague: Follow Den Haag-Amsterdam (A4), Den Haag (A12-Utrecht lane). Next follow the direction of Wassenaar-Leiden (A44). Take the Noordwijk-Katwijk (A206) direction of the exit for Sassenheim-Congrescentrum. Make a left after passing under the viaduct, take a right at the mini-roundabout and after 1 km make a left at the roundabout (Schulpweg) and follow for about 1.5 km. You will see De Witte Raaf on your left.

From Haarlem: Follow the direction of Heemstede, next Vogelenzang, then take the N206. Follow this road until the Sassenheim-Congrescentrum exit. Bear right; take a right at the mini-roundabout and after 1 km make a left at the roundabout (Schulpweg). Follow this road for about 1.5 km, you will see De Witte Raaf on your left.

Timing
Plan your travel so that you arrive on the afternoon of Sunday, May 15th, 2011 and depart on the morning of Friday May 20th, 2011.

Visa
Most participants will need only a valid passport to enter The Netherlands, which is a Schengen state within the European Union. However, citizens of some countries (e.g. Russia, India) will need to obtain a temporary resident visa in their home country before coming to The Netherlands. Important: If you require a visa, make your application as soon as possible since it can take many months to be processed. Please check the Citizenship and Immigration website to see if you require a visa and for information on how to apply if you do. Contact the conference organizer if the immigration officer asks for a letter of invitation.
